They also have Sengoku Rance and Real Kanojo, but interestingly those pages don't mention the above quote.

My thoughts:
The JastUSA team may have contacted them about an official license but got rejected. The creators are fine with the patch though so Jast is taking advantage of it.

I'd laugh if the project never finishes.

Cross Channel and Sharin no Kuni have mentions of the fan translations on their JList pages as well, and neither FlyingShine nor Akabeesoft2 have been approached by JAST with regards to those games. (Needless to say, neither have Ammy or TLWiki.) Sorry, but it's just a marketing gimmick, not any sort of indication of what JAST has or has had interest in licensing.

I was browsing VNDB a moment ago, and learned that Tengu Translations and Seven Nights just recently finished their fan translation of Bouquet's all ages visual novel / doujin game called "Tokyo Alice." Here's the specific URL: http://vndb.org/r10266

It took a while for me to navigate Bouquet's site, and another moment to start downloading this title (which I'm pretty sure is freeware). Looks like Tokyo Alice is at http://nfs.boo.jp/bouquet/tokyoalice After clicking the download link, look for the green "download" graphic on vector.co.jp .

I had the same problem that you had, and I felt like punching myself in the face when I figured out what I was doing wrong; it isn't just the files you need to move, you need to leave the files inside the 'data' folder they come in, and move the folder itself.
