Koisuru Otome to Shugo no Tate - The Code Name is "Shield 9": Setup Help

This is the first visual novel I've ever gotten and I got it from a torrent (which took days because there were no seeders!). I already have a text hooker and translator ready, but the setup.exe file doesn't work. First, I live in the U.S. What happens is I run the setup file and I press ok and accept and all that jazz, then it shows the actual installing, but all it shows is the pathway to my Program Files(x86) and then shows some long string of symbols (which I guess is Japanese) and the text keeps blinking as if it's trying to install it but it can't. It keeps blinking on that one file and the installation progress bar never goes up. It was an iso and I mounted it with Daemon Tools, but now the setup won't work. I already set Japanese as the non-Unicode language for programs (although I did it in a rush so maybe I did something wrong) and the setup still won't work. Help?
