Description

The series focuses on the lives of some students and teachers at Nadesico Academy both at school and their private lives. The main character of the series is Kamikura Hiroki, who lives with his younger cousin Elis. Hiroki is training to become a full-fledged art teacher while also trying to take care of Elis. When his childhood friend Kiri starts working at the school, drama begins to flare as he has to juggle his work, private life, and the feelings of these two important girls.

Oh, I'm not sure if the title is right.

Canvas 2 was originally titled "Canvas2 ～茜色のパレット～" when it came out on CD, but the Anime and PS2 version changed it to "Canvas2 ～虹色のスケッチ～", however the DVD version is just listed as "Canvas2 DVD EDITION" on the official site.

No big deal. The Pia Carrot translation project took three years. And IIRC, the Kanon translation project was first started around 2004, and Non-Directional Translations created a full patch in 2009.

Anyway, I'm glad that the VN can finally be read in English.

You know, F&C emailed me a C&D about this due to the TLWiki page a while ago. I told them I was essentially kankei nai and gave them the only email address I could find for you, but I guess they either ignored my response or didn't care enough to pursue it further.

Now that it's out I suppose it's a moot point, but I figured you might want to know.

I haven't received any emails from F&C, or at least not that I know of. I thought the project page was removed due to inactivity, but I guess there really was a C&D. Well, nice of you to bring this up after I released it.

So has this translation of yours been edited and translation checked, and quality controlled as well? Sorry, don't mean to sound like an ass. It's just lately, I've been reading scanalated manga with atrocious "editing", grammar issues left and right.

I'm not going to claim that my translation is perfect. It's probably far from it, but I did try to make it free of errors. I've been pretty much the only guy who's been working on it, ran through the entire script at least twice, and there's only so much I can do. I suppose the first route I did was beyond saving so I completely retranslated that at one point.

The only thing I can't vouch for is the H scenes. I left those to one of my editors.

Asides from that, I suppose the 4th line bug might be a little bit annoying but I can't do much about that though.

EDIT: Added some more info on first post that I forgot about.

Thank you very much Edgar for the three years of dedication to this project. I've been following it since last year and am now extremely excited to finally be able to play the game.
