Default .mes files

Hello there. This is my first post so far. :P And I have a question: Is there any way to extract text *from .mes files? (and vice versa)

As long as you're not trying to hack anything that might be licensed to MangaGamer, sure! roxfan might know

Rezel Cross? I've never even heard of this eroge before. Who is it by? I can't see it under the list of Circus games, so I'm not sure it's even the same .MES format. Might be an unknown format after all.

EDIT: Searches on EGS for every possible combination of the name I can think of turn up nothing. More inf please.

Well, I am sort of dumb, so I have no idea what Circus games are, but I am 100% sure, that text files of this game are stored in those mes files. Oh, and Rezel Cross is a psp geme, so its probably is not a "circus game"
P.S. I found roxfans mes extractor, but whenever I run it, command line window appears and disappears instantly, so I cant use it :/

PSP game? Yeah, it's almost definitely a custom/otherwise unknown format of some sort. Sorry.

You could upload one or two of the smaller ones somewhere and someone might take a look - if they're stored in any sort of nontrivial way it would be very hard to do without the original game though.

Actually, I don't think MangaGamer uses CIRCUS's engine at all; Da Capo runs on Ethornell/BGI.

Well, no, I was more referring to the fact that the original Da Capo ran under that engine, and messing with that (for the purpose of translation projects - there's typically few other reasons to want to extract and repack game text) might not be a good idea.

These files don't match neither Circus nor ADVWin32 format, so it's something new. The format doesn't look terribly complex, but there's clearly some obfuscation. If you send me the executables, I might try to figure out something.

I would guess all files besides resources/pictures/scripts... PM me the file list and I'll see if there's anything obvious.

Mips? I'm pretty sure PSP runs on ARM, and I know ARM pretty well. Mips is a bit too verbose for my taste :)
