View Full Version : Spam filtering notes

Apologies to all the guests who have had legitimate posts blocked by the spam filter today; it seems to have been a little stricter than I expected.

I'm updating the code so it will now tell you what it's objecting to. Hopefully this will make things less frustrating. I am still striving to find a good balance between minimum posting hassle and minimum spam.

I'm afraid registrations do require verification, so if you choose to register a temporary account to get past the filter, you will have to use a genuine email address. To remain anonymous, use a service like SpamGourmet to create a temporary email address. I don't think you will need to receive more than one email to gain the ability to post as a registered user.
