View Full Version : Favorite Quality in Kanon

So, what's your favorite character quality in Kanon?

I personally like Akiko's parenting skills. She could probably stop a conversation or an arguement dead with a few words. She brings out the peace in Makoto and Yuuchi, in example.

No "ability to use a mystery jam"? T_T

My go to Nayuki's sleep powers... Think if you could sleep like that XD

definetly Nayuki's sleeping powers. i wake up to even the slightest noises when the house is dead quiet as I'm used to having my computer on 24/7.

but indeed, having Akiko's use of the mysterious jam has shown its colours

Ayu's tackle-spear.

Not that Nayuki is my favorite character, but theres just something about her sleepwalking and how she eats strawberry jam really sleepily that gives this game its appeal.

But then, Sayuri is a very interesting character...

Are you sure it's strawberry? =P

I envy Makoto's concentration skills...If I could ever concentrate that hard I would have no problem with school ever again in my life ^^.

Interesting to see how well Nayuki is doing on the poll, given how she seems to be relatively unpopular over in Japan.

Is that right Asuto-chin?
Come to think of it, it looks to me that Haeleth doesn't like Nayuki either. =P

From reading earlier posts, Haeleath just likes Nayuki the least, and does it to mess with us Nayuki lovers.

Can you PLEASE make that english? I'm an ignorant american. :(

It's not so much that I like Nayuki as I like her ability. This isn't a poll about the girls.

Shiori's pocket has vastly powerful properties. You don't ever need a laptop, you can carry all the contents of your house with you, never worry about not bringing "enough", smuggle drugs.....

eh........ nevermind :D

AstCd2's post? It's an AA pic of Mai and Sayuri. Mai is saying "It's not that I don't like cousin characters...", to which Sayuri replies "...but I'm way better, right? Ahaha-!"

As for me and Nayuki... I don't exactly dislike her, I just don't find her particularly interesting either. She's actually quite popular in Japan. For example, look at the current standings in the wonderfully-titled Key Fan Service Kanon Character Battle Poll Revenge (http://www.keyfan.info/vote/bsk_nr51/fvote.cgi?): it's a very unreliable poll, but the top places are usually taken by Makoto and Nayuki (round 50 ended with Makoto, Nayuki, and Shiori in the top three places, and they're still in those places as we draw towards the end of round 51).

Ah, so the Nayuki fans are out there after all.
She seems most unpopular (especially in contrast to Akiko) on 2ch's Hakagi (http://pie.bbspink.com/leaf/), though, even having had a variety of unflattering fanfiction written about her. Then again, the residents of 2ch are hardly the most sane group of fans you'll find out there.

P.S.
You'll forgive me for having reservations about any poll result where Kitagawa scores higher than Sayuri and Kaori =P

You're obviously not aware of the terrifying extent of Kitagawa <strike>fandom</strike> obsession. KEYな大辞典 (another notoriously unreliable source, of course) has 91 comments under "月宮 あゆ", 125 under "水瀬 名雪", 193 under "Kanon"... and 1,822 under "北川 潤".

That IS pretty amazing, despite not all of it being what I'd categorize as praise.
In contrast, Sunohara only has 165...

お、恐るべし!
